The 7th SIGNET Workshop well be on September 12th 2014, in Shenzhen China. The aim of the workshop is to stimulate scientific reflection and debate on genetic sampling and banking, genetic diversity, its deployment in medicine, reproductive decision-making, in the community and in the personal lives of people, and related questions such as genetic discrimination. It will focus on the particular interface: “Genomic Consulting and Counselling".

Case studies will be discussed from the perspective of people with disabilities, and genetically construed groups, comparing international experiences. Strategies will be explored to advance genomic consulting and counselling.
